At the end of 2023 we informed everyone with the news of Save Edge being acquired by the Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory. We want to thank you, our loyal dealers, for working with us to make this transition possible.
We also need to give a shout out to our great staff. The team in Xenia has been working extremely hard over the past months and we are very proud of them!
Any change is difficult, but they have handled it with full confidence and incredible motivation.
There has been changes to the building, changes to the way of working, changes to the name on the paycheck and occasional Dutch guys walking around.
The team in Xenia has handled the changes very well!
We are very proud to have them as part of our crew and plan to continue for many years in the lovely city of Xenia.
New shipping conditions and payment options for USA and CAN dealers

In the beginning of this year, we promised that our prices would be frozen for 2024. We are keeping that promise and have heard many of you appreciate this very much!
The new ownership has brought us new insights into the possibilities to improve our production and lets us take control over costs in these unstable times.
No price changes in 2024!
Something we cannot control is shipping costs. Unfortunately, we are forced to increase the minimum order value for free shipping.
Starting May 1st, the minimum order value for free shipping will be $1200
We hope this will encourage you all to place larger, less frequent orders.
New to Save Edge is that we are now accepting ACH payments. If you prefer ACH over checks, please reach out to accounting@saveedge.com or give Save Edge a call and they will provide you with all the necessary details.

Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory Acquires Save Edge
We are excited to announce the Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory has acquired Save Edge, a renowned manufacturer of hoof rasps around the world.
The integration of Save Edge into our ‘house of brands’ will enhance our footprint in the farrier market, and diversify our activities. In addition to expanding our house of brands, we are also creating manufacturing opportunities in the U.S.
This acquisition represents our unwavering commitment to providing the farrier industry with quality products, as well as cutting edge technology. Combining the manufacturing knowledge of Save Edge and Royal Kerckhaert will serve to carry this commitment into the future. This collaboration offers farriers, worldwide, a broader selection of farrier products and exclusive access to the latest innovations.

Q: Will Save Edge move production to the Netherlands or another location overseas?
A: No, production will stay in Ohio. We are also exploring more opportunities for the current location; keeping existing American jobs while creating more.
Q: What happens to my terms and conditions?
A:
In the U.S. & Canada
Your terms and conditions will remain as they are. No change.
Outside the U.S. & Canada
As a direct customer of the Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory, your terms and conditions with them will replace those of Save Edge.
If you are a new customer for the Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory, you will be personally contacted by one of our account managers to make personalized arrangements.
Q: Will there be a price change?
A: All dealer prices for 2024 will remain the same as the 2023 prices.
For dealers outside the U.S., please note that currency exchanges may cause small differences beyond our control.
Q: I am a customer of FPD, can I get the products from them?
A: All U.S. & Canadian distribution is done direct from the Save Edge factory by Royal Kerckhaert USA. You can continue to place your orders direct with Save Edge. The existing contact details for Save Edge remain in effect.
Q: I am a customer of Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory, do I still need to order from Save Edge?
A: No, you can order all Save Edge products, together with your horseshoes, nails and tools, from Kerckhaert directly. Your Kerckhaert representative can assist you if needed.
Q: Why did Royal Kerckhaert acquire Save Edge?
A: Save Edge has a rich history of creating original and innovative products for the farrier market. This is a perfect match for the Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory, who holds the same high values. Our shared passion for production and engineering strengthens this match. Together, we will make a bigger impact on the farrier market and create exciting technical advantages for our products.
Q: Why do my invoices show Royal Kerckhaert USA, Inc. and not Save Edge?
A: Royal Kerckhaert USA, Inc. is the U.S. entity that will supply U.S. and Canadian customers with Save Edge products. The day-to-day operations are still run by the original Save Edge crew.
For customers outside the USA and Canada the supplying company is Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory BV in the Netherlands.
Q: Are you planning anything new for 2024?
A: In 2023 we started with the development of the White Horse rasp. After a very successful testing period it will hit the market early in 2024. The Dark horse rasp has been fine-tuned and will be stronger than ever.
We are working on improving our delivery times, on-hand stock quantities and customer service for a better experience with your favorite rasp brand.
Q: I have open orders with Save Edge, what will happen to these?
A: All open orders in the U.S. and Canada will be shipped as soon as possible. Invoicing will be done from the new company. Open orders outside of the U.S. and Canada will be shipped by Royal Kerckhaert Horseshoe Factory. A representative will contact you shortly with the details.
